Hi Richard,
I am impressed! I found someone who does what I do and more!
I play a little fiddle (if there is such a thing) and guitar but I am mostly storyteller, dancer, singer and mime.
Cheers, angela
Things sound interesting and -- as always -- very lively there. Good luck with Voices of Frasier. Please let me know how it goes.
I do miss Vancouver, and can't wait to visit there again.
We are living up in Massachusetts now. The address is 222 Loudville Road, Easthampton MA 01027.
I am aiming to be there this coming Spring, probably in late May. I will have to see some storytelling and get involved in some activities while I am there!
If you see Mary or Abegale or Melanie or Linda or any of the wonderful storytelling people I met there last year, please send them my regards and tell them I hope to be back soon!
I am looking for First Nations actor/storyteller. preferably female, for a production on Sept. 27th called "Voices of the Fraser" sponsored by Metro Vancouver. It is a paid gig. It would require around 15 - 20 hours of rehearsal. That person must be a good mover and have a strong voice. It would take place in Delta B.C. on Deas Island. Performed in a tent. I could not provide transportation or living expenses so it would be best if that person was from around Vancouver area. Anyone who wants more info can email me at ab@angelabrown.ca
How good to hear from you a continent away! I remember my time in Vancouver very fondly. I love the people and the city! I am looking for a way to get back there soon -- Maybe for some event next year....
Meanwhile this network is a grand way to keep tellers together.
Welcome to Professional Storyteller. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, eh?!! I love the work you do and it seems to match your colorful personality (or vice versa). I wish you continued success...

(I visited Toronto last year and LOVED it! Seeing Niagara from a helicopter was awe-inspiring!)
Greetings and welcome to Professional Storyteller. What exciting and varied experiences you have! I am sure we could all learn from you. Won't you consider joining the group Applied Storytelling: the Power of Stories and let us gain from your insights? Best wishes to you and enjoy the site! STEVE
Angela,
Wow, I would love to see you in action. Your website is wonderful and I'm very interested in the work you. I love combing music, puppets and Storytelling and I like that you work in front of the crowd. Something I am doing more and more. Great Pictures.
Very inspiring!
Penny
Welcome to the neatest site for storytellers anywhere. Someone recently said to me that they felt like they had stumbled into a town of storytellers... and you have... there are lots of great tellers here, excellent groups and forums... fun videos and pictures and some have uploaded audio to their files and you can listen to them tell. I hope you will visit my page and be a friend.
I love Canada, been there about five times, Prince Edward Island, and Toronto mostly.
Well welcome again, I can see by your intro that you have a lot of offer and I hope you will feel the same about the rest of us once you get to know us.

About Me:
Angela Brown (www.angelabrown.ca)
Storyteller, Puppeteer, Drama and Dance Specialist
I am a Canadian interdisciplinary performer and children’s entertainer as well as a dance/drama/storyteller/clown teacher with degrees in dance and theatre. I have performed as a storyteller for audiences both young and old throughout BC and abroad, and she has many original works to her credit. Last year, I performed at The World Storytelling Festival and at Cric Crac for the Vancouver Storytelling Society.
Next month, I’ll be telling my first stories to a children's audience in a mix of French and English. The story I am choosing to tell is an adaptation of a three hander, storytelling performance I perform with West Coast Chamber Music, Holly Duff and Allan Crane, two fabulous classical musicians that I have had the great privilege of collaborating with. We are on our second performance "Golden Hair", a sequel to "Jean Pierre and the Old Witch". Both performances combine French and English
Please check out their site at westcoastchanbermusic.org.
This will be my third year as writer/director for a number of living history performances about the history of the Fraser River Delta and the people who live along side of it, sponsored by Metro Vancouver in British Columbia. It is called “Voices of the Fraser” and will be at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta B.C. September 26th, 2008, a walk through theatrical experience with songs and stories based on the Fraser River Delta.
As popular children’s storyteller puppeteer and performer, I am well known for my musical, interactive performance of Ta Daa Lady Show, and my cast of roving characters and puppets. I recently performed at the Canmore Children’s Festival in Alberta, Canada in May of 2008. This year, I am at the Surrey Storytelling Festival and for Family Day in Surrey and in Family Day in Kamloops B.C. and will be seen at a number for festivals in B.C. in 2008 where I will be telling stories inside large, colorful inflatables built by Evelyn Roth. (evelynroth.com). This May, I was at the Okanagon Children’s Festival where I told stories (legends) inside a salmon inflatable as well as lead children and adults in a costume parade and dance (I have a wide variety of beautiful costumes also created by Evelyn Roth).
As a teacher/workshop leader, I have recently offered workshops in puppetry, drama and storytelling to the Pre-school Teacher’s Association in Greater Vancouver, the Nanaimo Teachers Association and for Early Childhood students at Burnaby College.
