Storytelling has saved me again!

This past week I did my first of a year's worth of storytelling for a local library. I had been off my feet for two weeks after tumbling down the stairs and "couldn't walk". I had planned to actually sit in a chair and force myself to take it easy on this day, but before I knew it, I was strutting in around, having the time of my life. I felt no pain while performing. It is said by Dr.s and Psychiatrists and such folks that our mind is able to overcome the body. Well in the presence of joy it… Continue

taking a breath

I have just spent several intensive weeks working storytelling in with my other job. During those weeks I ranted and raved up and down the middle aisle of the Adamsville Courthouse in Alabama, because it was the only place big enough to hold the people who were interested in the programs. It was all I could do not to run up where the judges sit and hit the gavel for emphasis. Unfortunately, since it was a real courthouse there was a security guard present, I was sure I would be arrested. It was… Continue

Hey there Ashley;

If you are studying under Delores Hydock... I consider you a very fortunate lady indeed. She is a spectacular storyteller... I have listened to her story "Silence" at least a half dozen times this year alone.

Tell her I said howdy when you see her. Are you coming to Gatlinburg for the Conference?

Hope so... say hello when you do

Hello Ashley

Yes it is mostly to adults, once a month a tell all three services at my church to the children... Odd, those days there seems to be several adults volunteering in the childrens church too. ha ha. Almost all of my telling is for grownups... businesses, retirement dinners, awards banquets and the like. I do have a guild that meets once a month and there are several young people in that group too.

did you listen to my stories on my page?

Please tell Delores "Hi" for me. I loved her presentation of "Silence." Her storytelling is riveting. I can't wait to hear her tell again.

Buck

Post some of your stories on your page so we can hear you tell.

Hello Ashley

I am so happy that you are here and I can't wait to hear about your ideas for storytelling. There are lots of good groups, some are involved with the business of storytelling others are about the art itself... if you can't find what you want to talk about.. just start a group of your own. Upload some audio or video... so we can hear you tell.

check out other's pages.. some have uploaded video and audio files and have links to their own websites... there is a lot to learn and more to see.

Don't be a stranger... welcome
Buck
