About Me:
I grew up loving to read myths and fairy tales which seemed to spring from a more vivid truth than anything else-- whether church, school, work, and private or public politics of the groan up world. Now I feel so lucky to be able to tell stories to children in schools & gardens & museums. I also create storybooks and storytelling CDs with original music composed by Louisville composer, Sara McLean. At night, I love to dance the Argentine tango!

Hi there! I am spreading the word about the new World Storytelling Day group:

If you know of any storytelling events happening near you in March, let me know, and make sure to add them to the World Storytelling Day event list.

I admit that I often give away shows too. I get such a rush of euphoria when I get to tell stories that I don't care much about the money. Yet I can't give them all away then I would be a true starving artist. As far as price we charge $350 for the first performance and then reduce the price for additional performances. Since Grandma is over 70 and has two artificial knees I try not to do more than 4-5 daytime performances at a school. Most of our performances these days are for schools and libraries. We have traveled from coast to coast on a small scale we are still trying to build our business like everybody else.

My favorite audience is children. They get so excited about the stories you tell and I love fairy tales too. On the other hand it is nice to tell to older audiences for the variety. Oh well I am a hopeless storyteller destined to tell stories till the lights go out upstairs.

always a tale to tell,
MyLinda
