I love this story I told it last night at Espresyo Soul... our Artist Showcase.... still working on it to make it my own... thank you for exposing me to such a inspiring piece.. one that you obiviously own.

Short and Sweet. One of the teachers in the audience, used their camera phone to capture the energy of a live performance, in the vast auditorium, with pre-k-2nd grade students.

On October 14th, Oba visited Burley. many of our PreK-2nd grade classrooms enjoyed Oba's versions of the Three Little Pigs.

interactive, dynamic presentations. Oba is a Gwendolyn Brooks, Hands on Stanzas Award Recipient, an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship Award Recipient and Jewel/Osco Hidden Jewel of The Neighborhood. The Poetic Storyteller is gaining regional recognition for his story song I Love My People” and tribute to the Red, Black and Green.

We are in Meridian, MS. We meet every 1st & 3rd Thursday.... we feature Spoken Word artists, singers, storytellers, and musicians.. You would be a hit for sure.

Hi Oba, I just watched your video and liked it alot! I love the way how you use pauses and the rhythm of your accent! Got the image that you "taste every word with your tongue". though you are sitting, you are moving the stories even......regards from Germany

I think I might be coming to Chicago in November...and it may even be to the Celtic Knot that you mentioned!!! Things are still being planned but if I make it, maybe you could drop by? It'd be fantastic to meet you in person. I must upload some videos so you can see my style. I love your lyrical leaps and word crafting, you have the gift. I must find the Irish phrase for it; in ancient Ireland they spoke of the gifts of music, of food and of the tongue. You fall in the last category there.
