-- New Directors have been elected in four regions. Taking office in 2009 will be:
Western Region: Sandy Oglesby

-- The new NSN website (www.storynet.org) is on line! thanks to the generosity of web designer Karen Wollscheid....
-- NSN plans national advocacy for storytelling through the Arts Recognition Task Force (the ART Force!) led by co-chairs Mary Hamilton and Jane Crouse....
-- The HEROES CAMPAIGN is launched, and the first trailblazing Heroes are thanked....
-- NSN has Good Financial News! about the 2008 Conference, the 2009 Budget, and a new accounting system....
-- We congratulate the recipient of the 2009 J.J. Reneaux Mentorship Award, Dustin Loehr of Mesa, AZ....
-- Good news about membership – and some great new-member bonuses from our sponsors August House Publishers and Cherish Bound....
-- 2009 is the Year of the Regions, and NSN will co-sponsor seven events....
