I can't believe it's November already! This year has simply flown by so quickly. A lot of great things have happened to me this year. I was very busy this Halloween season--five shows!!! Halloween is my favorite time of year and I was glad to add to the scary story pool this year. Also, this year I finally got to meet my friend Carrie Sue Ayvar from Florida. While staying at her house prior to going to Florida Story Camp, she told me a couple of wonderful King Solomon stories--one of which I will tell tonight in Ann Arbor as part of the Ann Arbor Storytellers Guild's Tellabration. I am telling two stories: King Solomon and the Two Mothers and King Solomon and the Magic Ring. I am very excited to be a part of this Guild. They are by far the most professional and well-organized groups and I am truly honored to be a part of the group. I am also taking magic classes at a local magic store--some of the tricks I can use with regards to storytelling--one I particularly like is the Change Bag which I use with a story I love--the Tale Teller. Anyway, I'm working on a new Fringe piece about Body Image. I should have it done by the time I go to Celebration barn later this year for the Milbre Burch/Antonio Rocha week-long Storytelling and Movement workshop they do each year. I must get back to my listening of a live production of Puccini's "Tosca>" God I love that opera--especially when Tosca stabs Scarpia at the end of Act II. I once saw an old film of Maria Callas singing the role of Tosca!!! She had a voice and what an actress!!!
Well, ciao for now. Will write later about my new work.
