Share a Story - Change the World
It's been seven years since I began researching the play THE HARDER COURAGE, six years since I began writing it, and now it's finally reaching the top of the mountain. Last year it was a finalist in the Ashland New Plays Festival and was invited to be one of the inaugural plays on the Play4Keeps podcast site. This year it will be workshopped at Theatre33 in Salem, Ore., and after that I feel confident that I will have an even stronger play.
There are two storytellers in the play: The prisoner, Robert Day, is from the South and loves to spin yarns. He also needs storytelling for his own healing. The wife of the sheriff, Susan Holmes, tell tales as a way of delivering wisdom or comfort to her husband.
