NAME: FAST CHANGE
LEARNING GOAL: DEVELOPING QUICK THINKING WHILE TELLING
# OF PARTICIPANTS: 4-20
FORMATION: SEATED CIRCLE
LEADER'S ROLE: Be the first to demonstrate this slightly complicated but very fun game.
DESCRIPTION: The person on the leader's right (Teller One) will begin telling an impromptu story. At some point the leader will say, "Change!" Teller One will completely change the last sentence they told. The leader is allowed to say "Change!" three times, but on the third time, the teller on Teller One's right (Teller Two) begins with the new sentence. Now the new person saying "Change!" is Teller One. This pattern moves around the circle until the leader finishes the story. Also, as the leader, don't be locked into saying "Change!" three times. If the group is small, say it five times. If the group is large, say it twice. Make it work for you, your time, and your number of tellers.
EXAMPLE: Teller One: One day Jack woke up hungry. He wanted some sausage.
Teller One: He wanted a duck. Sadly, Jack was a bad hunter. He didn't know how to shoot a gun.
Teller One: He had lost his sling-shot.
Leader: Change! (And Switch)
Teller Two: Jack was legally blind. He couldn't find his gun, sling-shot, or even the door.
Teller One: Change!
Teller Two: He couldn't find his clothes. (And so the pattern continues around the circle)
