Greetings Angeline: Forgive me for taking so long to get back to you. I don't get an alert message for friend requests in my regular e-mail box. So if I'm not on the site a few months I won't know who is attempting to connect with me. Thank you for the request I look forward to many more conversations.
Hey sis..whats up wit story folks in Kansas? I am learning stories that heal and give hope to women..boy do I need it;-) I got started in storyland presenting Paul Dunbar poetry and that led to impersonations of Harriet Tubman and while I love warrior Harriet...I'd like to just do me too...if I can figure out who I is!
Sorry for the delay. I started to join NABS a few years ago, but couldn't get through with the contact info I had, so I figured I'd get around to it. I have some friends that have attended the conferece. Would like to. Yes, I attended the National Festival for the first time last fall - I loved it!!!!!!!
I didn't know NABS had local chapters. I will see if there is one in my neck of the woods - Northern California.
Hello Angeline, thanks for connecting. I need to come on this site more often. Great resource. I've never heard of National African American Storytelling Association. I've heard of National Association of Black Storytellers. Are those two separate organizations? I need to join one of them. Anyway, I'm rushing off but I would like to connect and visit your site.
Hello, thank you for the comment of my page. Yes, besides this network, I belong to the NAtional African American Storytelling Association if I am saying it right, its hard getting things together at times. I also go to local schools, libraries, and where ever people call me. Lol, one day if we ever meet, I will explain to you how my grandson gave me that name. Take care and thanks again for the compliment.
