Greetings Norah:

I'm living in New Mexico now. Lived in Houston for several years. Left Houston and moved here. I've been wanting to come out to the east coast. Most of my family is there. I am so happy to meet a fellow storyteller who is sensitive to the womb. Transmitting stories to the unborn right through the teen years has been an amazing personal experience. We never stop growing. Thank you for commenting and for the invite. I too look forward to our encounter.

Hi Norah
Thank you for your words : it's funny for a soryteller to communicate with such a bad language : english for me. (I understood ... french for you...). But sometimes we can speak with wrong words and it's understandeble anyway... I had a look on your website: I appreciate your "life-road"... your biography and the subjects you choice to say... I also liked your story cactchers... clever...

Dear Norah:

You could say there are two levels of membership with the Youth, Educators, and Storytellers Alliance.

1. Paid membership ($25) on top of your National Storytelling Network membership
2. Participation in open networking groups like our group within Professional Storyteller (click join on upper left)

Think of it like a museum. You could go and enjoy the exhibits for free or you could give some money for the donation box. Both ways are acceptable.

So let me know which type of membership you need help with!

Until we tell again,

Rachel Hedman

Thanks for asking. Yes, I am feeling much, much better. I really started feeling better the day after Riverway ended -- I went to my tap dancing class that Monday, and again on Friday. I'll even be doing a storytelling program tomorrow night :-)

We had our first Riverway committee meeting today. Everyone was very pleased with the festival and especially appreciated all the tellers' kindnesses with the student tellers.

Dear Norah:

That is exciting that you are a children's author. I am attending my first Children's Literature Forum at Utah Valley State University (UVSC) to check out the scene.

Any advice on how you, as a storyteller, also connect with the authors and artists there?

I'm not shy in talking to people--I'm just curious how you present yourself.

Until we tell again,

Norah, I just saw something very funny, and perhaps indicative of deep inner meaning!?! Our photos are side by side on the listing for storytellers on this site.... and it appears as though we are pointing to each other!?!?! It's as if we are each saying "No, really, she said it, not me, no way, I swear I would never...." It's things like this that nourish my inner 12-year-old, and support my belief that the universe is basically a very silly place. Must be why I feel so at home there?!

Hi Nora
What an inspiration you are! I went to you website when I read your comment to Dianne de Las Casas that said that you teach full time because I wanted to see what was possible to accomplish on my full time teaching schedule. HOLY COW! You really raised the bar! I would be delighted to see you perform sometime if I ever get out east or you ever get to my "neck of the woods"

I think this is the place to jump start Short Short Stories. Not to move it to here, but to get the original site going. Count me in!
