Couldn't figure out how/why I'd not greeted you upon your joining....then it came back to me: I HAD BEEN IN AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL H___! I'd retired the summer prior, but had been conned into 'stepping in' to fill a vacancy that spring ('08). My .... well, suffice it to say, it was NOT a happy time for me, so I wasn't spending lots of time online w/ my storytelling pals, just trying to figure out how to survive 'the ordeal.'

Moving on: Richard, Welcome! At some point I did check out your page/site/videos, etc. and was majorly impressed at all you do and how well you do it - ALL of it! I was both IMpressed and DEpressed...I was agog and aghast at your skills/talents/gifts, while simultaneously dealing w/ a tiny tinge of envy/jealousy...("Why can't I play that thing!? How come I can't move like that!? Why didn't I get to . . ." ) - the phrase "pity-party" come to mind? Ever done the thing when you wanna give God a great idea, and He doesn't respond the way you'd imagined/hoped/prayed He would? . . . hmmmmmm? . . . yeah - neither have I (!)....but, I've read about people who do -

Anyway, I'm delighted you're here AND 'out there' doin' whatcha do. Pls lemme know if you're heading down to TX anytime soon, and I'll 'hitch th' wagon,' gather the family, livestock and neighbors and head out to meet ya when and wherever you say.

Thanks (Large) for befriending an ol' dude Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Best,

Tom T

She is just out of high school and at the moment is mostly self taught. I don't think her plans are for publishing at the moment.

All the best

No Richard,

Sorry have never heard of him. France has a huge artistic community in all areas of the performing arts. I've been here since 1974 first in experimental theater then in storytelling living first in Burgundy and now in Lyon.

All the best,

Sam

Dear Richard,

I see you to are often on the road. Just got back from a beautiful 1,100 acre forest about two hours from here where I'll be performing with 6 other tellers from 10pm-2am in the 'wilds'.

Tanks for you note;

Sam

Dear Richard,

Thanks for your comment. -- It is amazing how the greatest rifts occur between family members, and Jews, Christians and Muslims are certainly members of the same religious family.

Gerry is an old friend of mine. I haven't seen him in over a year. If you see him, say hello from me!

All the best to you, too!

Dear Richard:

Welcome to the "College Big Cats: Tracking and Capturing Gigs" group.

We look forward to your contributions. You are already experienced in connecting with curriculum for grammar schools. Now you can apply those same skills to the professor's syllabus.

Until we tell again,

Rachel Hedman

Richard:

If you look at the very top of your page, you will see your name and a little envelope next to it. If there is a "NEW!" next to the envelope, that means that you have a private message. Click on the envelope and you will see your messages. If you want to message someone, look underneath their profile picture and where it says, "Send a Message," click on that. That will enable you to send a private message, like an email, that the public cannot see. A comment is a note that everyone can see.

Hope this helps.

Warmly,
Dianne

Judith,

I play highland pipes in Bb, Spanish pipes in C and parlor pipes in A. They are all diatonic ( no accidentals). I don't know Tom tom the pipers son. It might be best to call me at 973 783 0118 to talk it over.

All the best

Richard

Richard, I notice that you play the bagpipes. I am in need of a little bagpipe music on the new DVD I'm filming. When I recorded the song that uses this music on my CD, I just used a synthesizer, but I'd rather use real pipes. What would you charge to record one song for me that I could use? The song is "Tom the piper's son," and I sing it with the music in the background.

I am also a musician; I play piano, guitar, concertina, ocarina, and African marimba. But I don't play pipes!

Judith
