Hey Delanna

I am looking for information for an online archive of storytelling proof. I read your note on applied storytelling and wonder if you can post me or send me the article you referred to in your note to Grandmahoney about storytelling and literacy...
That is the link to the discussion, it would be great to have a comprehensive list of non anecdotal evidence...
let me know

Dear Delanna Reed,
sorry for taking so long to respond to you. I hope you did not forget that information. I do appreciate any information you give me. Please look around and send me any material you have. I really believe oral storytelling is fantastic in the classroom as well as doing a show in an auditorium. I use my stories to teach after-school children in reading and other content areas. Again, I apologize for just getting back to you. Thanks for all you do,

Grandma Honey

Hi Delanna! ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Hope this finds you well. I see from the LANES Brochure you'll be at Sharing the Fire - that's terrific. I'll be there too so we'll have a chance to catch up. I'm excited to see you and welcome you to New England :). Safe travels.

This is quite a small world. It is fun to find friends everywhere I look. Thanks for your help and getting settled in here in Johnson city.

Hi Delanna -- yes, it was a delightful workshop getting people involved in org story work talking about what kinds of storytelling education we need, and reflecting on developments in the field. I'm writing up the notes and will post all soon. Talk with you soon!

Hi Delanna,

It was great seeing you the other week. Now you know where we live (or will be living). So don't be a stranger.

Hi MyLinda! It's good to hear from you. I will probably be fairly silent on this website, but I do hope to get some time to put interesting things about myself online.

I simply think of oral interpretation as separate from storytelling. However, I could do some kind of performance course in the future that includes performance of literature. Thank you for the suggestion.

I won't be around much during the second summer session, but I will try to drop in and see those of you who will be here.

Oh, yeah - y'can't beat the Hill Country for my money - it truly IS beautiful, and I DO love it.

Enjoy your stay in TN, however long that may be - 6 mos., 2 yrs., 20+ yrs - we'll be here, missin' ya, of course, but we'll still be here.

Take your time w/ this site, it can be VERY time-consuming, if you're not careful; for now, perhaps th' doctorate thingy oughta take priority...(y'think?)

Thanks for your 'friend'ship, and for your note. More later -

Best (from Texas),

Hi Delanna. Welcome. I've enjoyed this site; think you might too. Would you consider joining the group Applied Storytelling: The Power of Story? I'm sure we all could gain from your experience and insights. Best wishes to you. STEVE

Dear Delanna:

Welcome to the site.

There are a couple groups within this site that would probably interest you--"Storytelling in Education", "New Voices", and "College Big Cats: Tracking and Capturing Gigs". Of course, all the groups are wonderful.

I will be back at ETSU for Session II of the Summer. Will you be popping by? I assume you are going to the National Storytelling Conference in Gatlinburg.

Until we tell again,

Rachel Hedman

Hello, Delanna, and Welcome!

Texas girl, eh? Good for you - I'm coupla hrs south of your ol' stompin grounds, an hr north of Austin right on I-35....that's right, Bell County:
Deep in the Heart of Texas!

I'm sure you've heard all about this site from multiple sources who've found its riches and wanted to share them with you, AND Dr. Sobol.
It's sort of a dream site for tellers, as you'll discover for yourself.

What a wealth of experience you have in speech/theatre/telling! (why am I telling you this???) You have much to share with us, and I will look forward to your doing just that from time to time. I wish you the very best regarding the Ph.D. road, while somehow continuing your storytelling mission and, again, send my warm greetings and Welcome!

Hello Delanna;

How in the world are you? It is so good to see you here... there are lots of good groups, photos, videos, and forum discussions about the business and activities of storytelling. Check out my social experiment in the Fishbowl... look at Marketing... storytelling in Education... the list goes on... can't find what you need? start a group of your own... This really is a great site that Dianne de Las Casas has started.

Welcome again
