Hi Steve! I love the group Applied Storytelling: The Power of Story and I love your belief statements in your profile. My participation will improve as my life situation does, too. Storytelling is very healing, and I find Storytellers like you an inspiration and a lovely support network.
Thank you, Steve, for all you do!

The Carnival is planned for 28th & 29th of April 2009, in MUMBAI, INDIA.
The age group we are targeting is 3 to 6 years and the stories we are doing are "wizard of oz" and "a very hungry caterpillar". The idea and the objective is to tell the story to the kids and then work on the concepts that we want to put accross to children through art, craft, games etc.
Say for example - we will dwell on the concept of caterpillars & butterflies, in the story a very hungry caterpillar.
The aim is to put these concepts across to the children through making them motivated enough to want to know these things than rather we forcing the same to them.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for reaching out. Professional Storyteller is a great place, where I plan to spend more time "hangin' out," soon. I'd be happy to participate in "Applied Storytelling," but at the moment know not much about it. Please fill me in.

I am happy to hear from you and will certainly join your group as I and my colleagues at Society for Storytelling (in England) are currently looking at storytelling as an applied art to reduce educational exclusion. I also have worked with convicted teenagers and if that is not applied storytelling, what is?
Good to meet you.
