Just saw an email from Tom addressed to the rest of the Biblical Storytelling group. He addressed as "All Saints."
Tom, I'm going to have copy & send this your way to let you know what crazy reminders that produced.
I was born on Nov. 2. In the Catholic Church Nov. 1 is All Saints Day. Nov. 2 is All Souls Day, some even called it Poor Souls Day as it's for those not quite ready to get into heaven. Kinda reminds me of St. Paul talking about how to die is gain (heaven), but also to live & do what he is expected to do is gain, too. What a great way to accept whatever God has planned for us on our life's journey.
Then there's a great old preacher who's gone to his final reward named J.Vernon McGee who used to say there are Saints & Ain'ts. Sometimes when I get to thinking I'm not all that saintly, I think about those Ain'ts & breathe a & thank God I'm not an Ain't either. Since you, too, Mara, have a strong streak of the child in you, just remember what happens to Ain'ts on a sidewalk. . . they get squished!
It's good that Lynne helped you find not only PS & the Biblical Storytelling group, but especially your story & storytelling.
Your post on blessings has already caught my eye, so may blessings come to you, too.
and welcome to PS I see you have already figured out how the site works... fantastic. hope you have a great time here... I love it. Check out the Groups... spend some time poking through the pictures... we are a very creative bunch.. look at the videos and go to individual pages and listen to others tell. Check out the Fishbowl and Marketing... there might be something there that you are interested in.. if not..start a group of your own... Dianne de Las Casas created this site for us. Isn't it great?
You and Words DO love each other, don't you - (more on this later, but I've a job to which I must shortly attend)
You're gonna love this place, and all it affords us tellers. I am very happy you've joined the site, and really look forward to your contributions (btw, I consider your ABOUT ME comments already a "contribution") -
Have a great day, keep us posted, thank Lynne for inviting you, and thank Dianne for birthing this place, and remember this happy Welcome to you!
