Hey, Marilyn. . .

I try to remember to check the Main Page when I log in and there on the Photos section your pictures were cycling through the viewer.  It was like a short visit with you!  Hope all is going well.

Hi Marilyn,
Sorry I did not get back to P. storyteller to see I had your comment. The holidays were a whirlwind--all family and friends stuff. We spent 3 full days around Christmas with our Daughter and her family in Irmo, SC. So pleased to have excellent weather, especially for the traveling.

It was good to get your 'good' news about Larry at the end of the 'bad'. That was no doubt very scary for awhile. Our best to him! Hope he still feels himself and chipper.

Our work is usually slow after mid-November, and until February. I rather like the break. It meant even more this year with all the scary story immersion in Sept and Oct.

The book was sent to the layout artist the Sunday before Christmas! I am working on proofing the hard copy, and doing those tedious pages like the Index. I think it a fine book. I continue to say that your article is up with the best! When I get the pretty copy from the artist, I will send out each contributor's article for their personal proofing.

Back to my proofing. If that were my only project, I would have finished a week ago!

Be careful on the ice. We have plenty of it. We lost a good friend the 29th do to a bad fall walking on black ice.

Marilyn,
The book comes along great. Before too long I will have your article back to you for a draft check. I ended up with 52 articles from 52 different teams. I am working and reworking the best order. How has your storytelling been? I think perhaps fall is extra busy for you and Larry. We were solid booked for most of it. Enjoy your holidays! Jonatha

How will this be different from the storytell list? We just joined. Well, Tom joined and I came along for the ride.
The story locally is our favorite plum tree, a Castleman plum bloomed late, had a bunch of leaf curl, was being attacked by beetles and termites, so after dinner we cut it down and cut it up. [down/up ???] English is funny.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy this site as I have. I wonder, with your teaching-storytelling background, as well as being a storyteller, if you would consider joining the group "Applied Storytelling: the Power of Story"? We would love to have you and I'm sure we would all gain from your knowledge and experience. Best wishes. STEVE

Hello Marilyn

Welcome to the site. Gosh there is a lot of stuff here, great groups, cool discussions and some really funny video just to mention a few things. There is bound to be something here that you might like. Don't see a Group that suits your needs? Create one... isn't that cool. Invite people and the next thing you know... you have a network of people who have a similar concern and are working on solutions.

have fun

Buck

Hi sweetie! Welcome to Professional Storyteller. Glad you joined the group. We are definitely of your "feather!" And this site was designed for those who wanted to "flock together."

I hope you get to explore around a bit and join some of the groups, especially Storytelling In Education - we need you there! Big hugs and best wishes always...

Warmly,

Hello, Marilyn, and Welcome!

"Feathered Friends" ... I like that, it works ~

And you will find this site a great place for 'those of a feather' to stick together. It is awesome.

I'm 'familiar' w/ you primarily thru storytell/list (I've been mostly lurking about the last coupla years, while still teaching). Take a while to go over the multiple pages - Main Page, 'your' My Page, Teller Pages,
Videos, audiofiles, Photos, Forums, Blogs, Groups (all sorts!), etc.
Always lots going on w/ all the discussions, the news updates, a new story, a new venue, a new experience, a new friend - many opportunities to share your expertise with us, ask questions, make proposals, post pics, videos, audios, written materials - this place can keep you VERY busy!

Delighted to have you with us, looking forward to your contributions to the site, wishing you continued fulfillment and success and, again, sending a warm Welcome!

Sincerely,

Tom
