Just discovered your cruise project...how is it going? Are you getting a good response? Do you put on evening performances as well as day long workshops? Sounds brilliant! I am not sure that would work in the inclement weather of Ireland. :)
Hi Kathy. I would love to get over and visit sometime to Jonesborough. My late second cousin Ray Hicks told stories there for over twentyfive years I think it was. I seem to be in Europe most of the time. lol. I am not sure how that happened, but it is fun to share the Appalachian Mountain culture of old and learn alot of how it came here from Europe.
Kathy- it would be a pleasure; let me know the date when you come to Juneau. I have done storytelling for CME cruises out of Canada for the past few years during the evening Thane Ore House salmon bake dinner. It has gone over very well. The person who set them up is Gwen Powell and she has been delightful to work with; if you want her contact info let me know. Brett
Hi, Kathy. I think that the Eastern Caribbean Cruise is a brilliant idea and I wish you luck with it. I live in Juneau, Alaska, very much a tourist destination spot and they LOVE to hear stories with local flavor, be they Alaska Native, historical or even modern local. Brett
