Brought down by the Shingles

Shingles are definately an unwanted surprise. I have cancelled "My finest hour" show,Growing up on Route 66, and will re-schedule for some time in the winter. Look for updates on my blog. Meanwhile I am not accepting any further gigs until well over this bothersome attack of shingles.

Movin' in and movin' on

Advanced storytelling at ETSU is over all too soon, so much information in so short a time. Most of it I will be processing for the rest of my life. What a jam-packed course Elizabeth Ellis taught, with space to practice and hone our skills. If you are looking for and intense injection to your storytelling life, consider one of these summer classes at East Tennessee University's Storytelling program. We have… Continue

Hello Marjorie;

What a great site PS has become and what a great community of tellers. Forgive me for being so late in greeting you. Recently my heart decided to throw a little surprise party at the emergency room... not a heart attack just Pericarditis (non-lethal... only painful condition). I am recovering nicely, was able to go ahead and get married and move. So you might forgive my late greeting. Hope you join some of the groups... mine will pick back up as I get more settled into our new routines. Anyway... welcome to PS and I hope you learn to love it and this wonderful collection of tellers as much as I do.

A pleasure to have you back. As for the history stuff needed, the U-School is about to go on break, and history stories are going to start up when they return next month (after the festival), but it would be nice to meet up with you sometime and have your help refreshing my mind about the stories. Also, how long will you be in town? Dr. Sobol said you will only be here for a month or so. It's looking as though there's going to be storytelling for K-5, but only 4th and maybe 5th will be doing the history stories - still figuring out the details (hard to get communication with the teachers sometimes), but it's happening...
