Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a Singaporean (really!) who started telling/training in 1998. Most of my work is with schools/teachers here and in Hong Kong, though I'm just starting my organisational storytelling portfolio (training the Armed Forces, the Police and school Principals.) I hope to do more international telling - I was invited to Bahrain in March 2008 for the Spring of Culture Festival and did the Edinburgh Fringe in 2007.

Roger--Just read your bio..do you know Katherine (or is it Kathleen) MacLeod from Singapore. I performed at the Aussie festival in 2005 and flew through S'pore and stayed with Katherine and her husband. Also know Shiela Wee and Kirah Singh???

Greetings and welcome to this great site. I think you will enjoy it. I wonder if you would consider joining the group Applied Storytelling:The Power of Story. I'm sure we could gain from all of your experiences and insights! Best wishes to you. STEVE

My favorite coffee has little to do with what's in the cup, but who is across the table. My favorite shops are non-chains where stangers sitting at nearby tables talk with each other. Coffee in a bag may be fun when I walk my dog, she's my most constant audience...she walks, I tell and she never interupts.

Please consider joining all the fringe that's fit to print. Write something up about your fringe experiences. I read about your experiences at Edinborugh.

Hope to have coffee with you one day in the future,
Rivka

Hi Roger!

Great seeing you here on Professional Storyteller! I wish our paths would cross again soon. I had so much fun in Singapore all those years ago. I was just on your side of the world last month - touring in Guam and the Philippines. Hope you are doing well and welcome!

Warmly,

Good Morning Roger

I am glad you have decided to join us here at PS... Dianne de Las Casas has done an amazing thing here. Lots of great people, good discussions around our craft and the business of storytelling. Check out the groups... I see you have found a couple... excellant.

Poke your head into the Fishbowl and Marketing groups too... who knows you might be able to teach us something... one thing is certain very few of us here feel that we have "arrived" most of us believe we are still learning.

Welcome again

Buck

Hello, Roger, and Welcome!

Edinburgh, eh? I didn't see you . . . oh, wait a minute - you said 2007, right? Yeah...uhmmm - I was there about 30 yrs prior....yeah, so I'm guessin' that's probably why we didn't run into each other -

No matter. We 'meet' now!

You're gonna love this place and its 'inhabitants.' Awesome for tellers from all over. You already have a very nice site and presence online, but this will only add to and enhance that presence.

Take time to investigate the various pages and how they can help you. Questions need answers? Ask most anyone who's been here a while, or you can go to the FAQ Group. We're rapidly approaching a family of 300, so check out some of the many Teller Pages to discover who some of these remarkable folks are; they will discover you in much the same way. Post your videos, photos, audiofiles - check out the forum discussions and groups, join in, take part and grow as you go! The Main Page gives you the most uptodate news of activities on this site and, if you're not careful, you can easily end up spending way too much time here - moderation is the key!

Anyway, glad you're here, looking forward to your sharing with us, wishing you the best on your journey and, again, sending warm greetings and Welcome!

Sincerely,

Tom Taylor
