My little guild meets once a month, we have a lot of fun, each month on my website I post a new topic. Each meeting, I teach briefly about storytelling for about 15 minutes... so it is hardly a workshop but a little is better than nothing... then everyone who wants to tell stories can... the more the merrier. It is always fun... no pressure and we make a point to emphasize the positive and just point to telling tips to help people improve... but we never say... "no that is just wrong and you can't do it like that!" The idea is to make storytelling grow...
I hope you are having as much fun at your guild. Best of luck to you and keep telling.
Buck

I LOVE that you LOVE storytelling! THAT's what makes the difference -
I want to encourage you to check out our Biblical Storytelling Group (click on GROUPS, then click on the image of Jesus telling on the hillside, then come in and meet the crew - there are now 27 of us, and I was thrilled when we reached 12!)
You'll love this site - there is so much available to enhance and strengthen every teller's presence. If I can help in any of this, please let me know.
Check it all out, find those discussions and groups that 'speak' or, better yet, "call" to you, and spend some time with the folks who are making it happen.
Delighted you're with us - look forward to hearing more about you, more from you - please post samples of your work, pics, videos, whatever you've on hand - it's Show and Tell Time!
Best Wishes and, again, Welcome!

I am glad you are here. I hope you jump right in and make yourself at home... lots of great groups... good discussions in the forums and a whole lot of very nice people.
I have a guild that meets once a month too. Perhaps we can swap ideas for developing our tellers.
Come see me in the Fishbowl.
Welcome again
